Tokyo as Culture
What makes "Tokyo as Culture" possibly the biggest representation of this project is not directly connected with tokyo itself. Instead, it is based on the general Japanese culture that is spreading throughout the world mostly through anime (Japanese cartoons). In addition to anime, Tokyo can be seen as an eastern metropolis through the japanese cinematography which brings forth another representation, "Tokyo as Protagonist", much like what New York is to western civilization.Anime
Anime in Japan is such a big thing much like technology is. They could even be considered as Japans theme. They are responsible for a big percentage of Japans tourism.
