Chios Mastic Museum
The Chios Mastic Museum opened its doors in 2016 and it is located at the Mastichochoria.
The museum offers a permanent exhibition about mastic production and it explains its history and cultivation techniques.
The museum also demonstrates the different uses of mastic today.
Chios Mastic Growers Association
The plot of land where the Chion Mastic Museum was built was ceded by the Chios Mastic Growers Association. The Chios Mastic Growers Association is a cooperative organisation that acts as the representative of twenty primary cooperatives founded in the twenty-four Mastichochoria.
It has almost 5000 members and has the exclusive management of Chios Mastiha in Greece and abroad.
The organisation also has an international equivalent, the French "Union des Producteurs de Gomme Mastic de Chio".
